Saved recordings can easily be retrieved and both front/rear views of the recordings are shown on the single screen for PIP(Picture in Picture) function.

Stable, all new concept file format

The stability of saved footage is highly enhanced with new JDR file system instead of previous AVI or MP4 formats.
AVI, mp4
JDR files are saved directly and automatically to the main memory storage of the sd card, and unlike general method, JDR format files are saved, played safely and seamlessly.

JDR file system can be only played on the dedicated pc viewer and IROAD mobile app. In order to run the file on other media player, please convert JDR format to avi format from the PC viewer.

Memory Card Contents

It usually takes 3 to 5 minutes depending on the capacity of memory card when the memory card is inserted onto the front camera for the first time or after format for checking and data creation. After that, new folders and setup file for the dedicated viewer will be shown as above.

Recording time can be manipulated by changing recording resolution(1280x702p or 800x450p) and frame(5 up to 30). The recording times below is for normal recording.

Normal(Driving) Recording

Uninterrupted recording is initiated when the engine is on.

Impact recording is initiated from the point when the impact sensor of the camera detects any impact.

Parking(Motion) Recording

Parking mode is initiated when a car is stationary for 10 minutes and return to driving mode once the car is on the move. Select motion detection on the settings if you want to record only when motion is detected while parking.

24 hour continuous(motion detection) recording on parking mode

10 minute after the engine is off, the normal recording mode is automatically switched to parking mode and IROAD T8 starts recording on parking mode after the system checks on the status of impact sensor and the system settings.
When motion detection box is ticked on the settings, any impact or motion detected during parking will be saved under separate ‘impact’ folder on the sd card.


Built-in battery discharge prevention function

When the voltage of the car battery drops below the certain point, IROAD T8 automatically detects it, then shut down its system and is switched off for the safety of the car battery.
In case you car battery is old or you do not drive your car very often, it is advised to recharge your car battery by simply turning on the engine of your car to prevent the discharge of your car battery.

*Long term parking could cause natural discharge. Please make sure the power cable is unplugged if you intend not to drive your car for a long time.
